Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 October 2026

These terms govern your use of Briefelo (briefelo.com), a service that transcribes meeting recordings and uses AI to turn them into documents such as briefs, emails, action trackers and slides. Briefelo is operated by Matthew Barsing, trading as Briefelo ("we", "us"). By using Briefelo you are entering into an agreement with Matthew Barsing, trading as Briefelo.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or continuing to use Briefelo, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be of legal age in your country, and if you use Briefelo for an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it. Keep your login details confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Briefelo within your selected plan. You may not reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service, or circumvent usage limits or technical protections.

4. Acceptable use

You must not misuse Briefelo. In particular, you must not:

  • use it for any unlawful purpose, fraud or spam;
  • upload recordings you have no right to process, including recordings made without required consent;
  • infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • generate illegal, hateful, harassing or deceptive content, including deepfakes or impersonation;
  • interfere with security, including malware, probing, scraping, or attempts to bypass AI safeguards (jailbreaking).

5. Your content and AI output

You keep all rights to the recordings, transcripts and documents you create. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to provide the service. You are responsible for your inputs, for having the rights to them, and for how you use the output.

AI-generated transcripts and documents may contain errors or omissions. Always review them before relying on them. Output is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical or other regulated advice.

If you believe content on Briefelo infringes your rights, email mlbarsing@gmail.com. We may remove or restrict content, refuse or filter outputs, and suspend accounts that repeatedly infringe or break these terms.

6. Our intellectual property

We retain all ownership of Briefelo, including its software, design, documentation and branding.

7. Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, renewal, taxes, cancellation and refunds are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. If you cancel, you keep Pro access until the end of the paid period. See our Refund Policy.

8. Service level

We work to keep Briefelo reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using Briefelo at any time. After termination, saved documents may be deleted; export anything you need first.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, unlawful use, or breach of these terms.

11. General

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and disputes go to the courts of Malaysia. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. We may update these terms and will post the new date above.
